Bureacrazy with a punishment culture, but paid great

Outstanding pay - including bonuses, housing, car, healthcare, etc.

Cons

The company was bureaucrazy with a punishment culture. Took forever to get anything done. Vacation approval required a half dozen signatures, from line manager to director level, in pen/paper. You had to run around constantly just to get anything approved.

LUKOIL Overseas has probably been one of the best Russian E&P companies to work for in terms of overseas projects and benefits before the oil & gas industry hit the rock bottom.

Cons

By downsizing its E&P business in a very lame and unprofessional manner, the company lost a major part of its hard-to-find competencies in E&P.
