Pros

having weekends off and that's about it.

Cons

The system they use is old which makes your job hard. nobody young stay's for more than a year, because the people in the lab have been there for over 10yrs. these people don't want change. The training is terrible, you will be stuck accessioning for 3months because they "don't have people to train you on other stations". They are always fussing over who starting what instrument up, and the pay is bad ($20) in this economy is insane. the benefits are expensive and don't cover much. Also, they will ask you to help at other sites because they are short staff but the truth is people are quitting because they are tired. I could go on about this place but I will stop here. if you are fresh out of school do not apply to this place, they are cheap af.

Pros

High caliber of employees. Tech teams are full of helpful, hard working people.

Cons

(1) No flexibility on pay and pay is not competitive, very little room to advance. (2) Employee morale and retention is very low and this can create an undesirable environment. (3)You will potentially be pipetting 500+ specimens some days. Back, wrist, hands will hurt. (4) It’s a factory job which happens to require a degree due to regulations. The company treats employees as such.
