Plb, pay isn't bad but they pay different people different amounts for same job so negotiate high

Cons

No sick time (you're penalized for calling in sick without 24 hr notice), supervisors are not trained properly, team leads are people who have been there 30 years and only care about themselves, favoritism is rampant, can't keep micro department fully staffed due to poor management, intimidation and hostile work environment to be expected in virology. Rules different for different people. One employee was late every day and didn't get any discipline but you're only allowed to be late 4 times before it counts as an unscheduled plb day and firing after 6 incidents

Anyone below management level are generally good people.

Cons

unfair management, poor benefits, high volume, health insurance discount loops you have to jump through are ridiculous, rules only apply to some people, hard to get time off, care more about profits than releasing correct patient results.
