Pros

- Company car - Free lab work

Cons

- Constant turnover and they have been on a hiring "frost" for some time now which means they are not hiring nearly fast enough to make up for it - It is a boys club past the regional manager of business development (RMBD) level so good luck trying to move ahead - Limited growth opportunities and promotions are quietly based off of tenure - Upper management is not in touch with what is going on in the field and rarely speaks to their sales people - Lack of accountability; for instance, an SME may set up an account incorrectly and the KAEs have to pay for those mistakes. No disciplinary action is taken even when it is a regular occurrence.

Pros

Company car, unlimited PTO, company phone

Cons

Working at Labcorp has been a horrific experience. The sales culture and leadership is awful. The unethical behavior that is allowed and encouraged is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The commission structure is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen where everyone else gets paid except for the actual employee doing the work. The KAE role is underpaid and under appreciated.

Pros

Take home car, phone, laptop computer Flexible time off Base pay and commission

Cons

HR is not your friend, be very careful with HR they have the company's best interest at heart. Very little growth opportunities for sales reps. Management expects you to work 24/7 take calls all hours of day and into twilight hours when lab results are being pushed to doctors. Many support staff touch same client you manage but if they make an error or if lab makes error with lab work its 100% on you and will affect your pay and employee review. You will handle ALL and every client issue for over 90-100 in your account book, and be expected to sell, make multiple clients visits daily, expected to not loose any clients to Quest or other smaller labs that have better pricing. You will take work home every night so you will put in over 8hrs per day, no work life balance. You are a glorified customer service rep but with high pressure stacked ranked sales quotas that is very difficult to meet because you will be overwhelmed with client issues and problems. Multiple local, and regional, and corporate projects and reports to complete on top of an already heavy workload.
