Pros

Pool table and restaurant on site(which you can barely access with your measly breaks? Plenty of parking

Cons

EVERYTHING! There is no transparency whatsoever, be prepared to know nothing about the company or what you will be doing. Everything is done at the last minute, including work you need to do and heck the training to do it. Supervisors are always to be busy to train. They are unequipped to properly lead anyone because they are always at meetings. They will alienate you from any friends you try to make and tell your temp agency that you are getting to close to certain employees. If you are hired as a temp you are paid a measly $13- no benefits! Temp job has no promise of hire- DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU! In the beginning they will brainwash you to believe this is the best company you will ever work for. Please don't fall for it! They will let you go or you will want to quit! I've seen it multiple times! Most people don't last. You're not paid enough for the work they expect you to do. The supervisors don't even smile in your face, they are disrespectful and will talk about you in your same vicinity. You will be blamed for everything because you are the temp and the supervisors don't want to take responsibility. You are timed and watched! CLOSELY! Every time you want to move from your desk- you must clock out and if you think about going to the restroom outside of scheduled breaks. You will go off adherence which will count negatively towards your performance. So don't move until you have permission. It a pretty much like high school. Think about a sport try out. There's a big group of you and then there are team captains. You are drawn from the group by the team captains and placed on a team- whether you have the skills set or not. Oh beware if they put you on a team you have no background in. Oh gosh just run! You will be expected to learn EVERYTHING! QUICKLY! If not you are gone. No warning. No help. No feedback. No nothing. Gone. Micromanagement runs rampant! Everyone is a manger and will in some way try and manage you. If you must work here, be ready to be willing to be gossipped about, underappreciated, receive no feedback as to how you're doing, be talked down to, lied to, and pretty much treated like crap with an empty promise of becoming one of them. Don't get brainwashed. It's all a trap! DONT ACCEPT THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE ANY SELF RESPECT!

Pros

The benefits offered are out standing; each healthcare professional I have given my Dental, Health, Vision or prescription card has consistently remarked "Wow you have really great insurance." The majority of my co-worker are a pleasure to work with and a few have become dear friends.

Cons

There is rampant lack of communication. I personally have had several different supervisors in my years of employment with Covance. Just this year I realized that each time I changed to a new supervisor they had absolutely no idea of my accomplishments. This was rather surprising especially as every employee is subject to a mid-year and year-end performance review, which lists the employees accomplishments that year. Also when you put forth what you feel is a lot of effort into training, data base testing, and other things that are not technically listed as one of your job duties only just to receive review that you "MEET" expectations and after applying for promotion told you were not chosen because not everyone knows your skills you have. It's just ridiculous.
