Pros

They'll pay you what you work for. In my department, there's unlimited overtime.

Cons

In life toxicology (also known as animal operations) is a horribly managed department. Pay is not sufficient for the amount or quality of work we do. They require you to work 4 out of every 12 weekends, and 4 holidays a year. There is no work/life balance. Employee turnover is very high. Benefits aren't great. The job is physically demanding, and after doing it for a while, my body is starting to show wear. There's limited opportunity for growth in the department.

If you survive Covance Chantilly I heard that you can work anywhere. You get a paycheck and enough experience to find another job.

Cons

Too many to list... I would suggest looking elsewhere unless you are desperate.

Pros

As much overtime as you want. No limit ever. Flexibility in some areas. The best coworkers anywhere. Good place for new college grads to gain a lot of experience that will serve them well elsewhere.

Cons

Bullying management style, poor compensation for long term employees, horrible benefits. Not a good place for workers looking for a stable long term job to support a family on.
