Pros

Products and management decisions are mostly engineering driven. The engineering team is very talented and highly technical. If you report to the right people and work on the right projects, you can get promoted rather easily.

Cons

Not much work and life balance in placed, expect to work long hours and on weekends. If you don't know the right managers, don't expect getting promoted although you may be highly capable workers.

Pros

The people are great. Decent flexibility with work schedules.

Cons

Different quarterly meetings every month. I feel like I am always working on preparing on some quarterly meeting to inform management what business change since a week ago. I seem to have of them after the merger. Also, it feel like the company is less focus on long term growth and more on meeting short term Wall Street numbers to justify the merger. Finally, the layer of management increased after merger and they are still hiring higher level managers while laying off lower level individuals who does the grunt work.

Pros

Well run company; financially stable and successful. Is run as a values-based company, and most of the time it works. Employees have excellent benefits, salary, OK working conditions.

Cons

Do not expect much in the way of praise for what you accomplish. Company culture is driven - people work hard and very long hours - it is expected. Values-based culture seems to slip away when senior management is involved. Decision making is a painfully slow process, often leading to endless iterations. The company claims to have a leader based decision process; in fact it is usually consensus with process.
