Things move very fast and so do directions. So work can be really stressful and chaotic most of the time.
Work-life balance is totally off.
Very little mentoring from bosses and management.
The promotion process is not transparent. Unless you really push for it, there is never really a conversation between an employer and the command chain to understand what one needs to do in order to move up to the next level. This is seriously frustrating.
There is little recognition for technical excellence, which is often is the key to delivering outstanding process and products. Much more recognition is devoted to people who manage customers and market products. Not very fair!
