      Challenging, but hard to maintain focus

      Pros

      Very fast and growing market, possibility to snatch a very first positions on it, lotsa investments to infrastructure and business development.

      Cons

      Poor employer culture, childish top management, lack of empathy. You'll be never rewarded for any advances. All that horror stories about "consultant-style" management of McKinsey are true as hell. Lost most of strong IT people because of stupid management moves

      Pros

      Highly professional and loyal (to each other) team. Well established development processes. Flexible working hours. Many opportunities to gain cross-disciplinary expertise. Specialists from this company are highly valued on the market.

      Cons

      Hostile top management. Demoralized team. Non-existent salary raises. Hard work is never rewarded with anything more than a pat on the back. Constant implementation of new pointless bureaucratic procedures that impede work. Preferential treatment of IT office in Vilnus, Moscow employees treated as second-rate. Moscow office located in one of the worst areas of the city, windows facing a roaring railroad.

      Pros

      e-Commerce market is growing heavily, amount of investments in the company is overwhelming, company can offer to buy best-in-class experts (for senior positions) on the market.

      Cons

      Weak internal corp structure, all-"McKinsey consultancy" management style, employees doing nothing as a result of poor control and motivation, low budget on non-senior positions — IT part of the business is weak in terms of architecture, code ownership and overall productivity.
