Pros

Good salary, good people, lots of career advancement or lateral move options. Bonuses can be huge if your business unit performs well (this is rare). Unlimited vacation is nice as long as you have a manager that lets you take the time.

Cons

Layoffs, layoffs layoffs. That and the regular reorgs. People you've worked with for years are one day just gone, or half your team gets cut and you have a new job with a new manager that you have no say in. The churn keeps you on edge and hurts team morale.
