Pros

Hourly wage is higher than most retail establishments

Cons

Do not waste your time. They make you think this is the greatest company but do not be fooled by the bs they feed you at the interview. They tell you that if you are a PT 20 you will get 20 plus hours a week but once you actually get in the store it changes to a PT 20 meaning 0-20 hours a week based not on your performance but whether or not you feed the egos of the SRP's and the Manager. Although you can make good money during training (which is a complete joke...they threaten you with disciplinary action if you do not memorize around 100 PLU's and pass a final exam) and the opening of the store working here is not a good idea if you have bills or a family to take care of. And hope that if you do take a job here that they do not send you to the Winston store for more training because you will learn nothing there, they treat you like they are better than you and refuse to allow you to train in the areas that you are there to learn, instead be prepared to be berated and put on cleaning duty. Lidl should invest their money in teaching their Management team how to treat employees in a respectful and professional manner instead of making associates spend weeks away from their family to learn something that is not carried over into the store.
