LIDL US: It's ok if you can look past some big issues

Pros

-If you're a buyer or upper management, you really have nothing to worry about. -Your department and team are great to work with. -Giveaways every now and then are nice if you can get to them on time. -Different food truck outside every day and plenty of food options around if you don't bring lunch with you. -It can be a relaxed environment if you make it that way

Cons

-Benefits does a HORRIBLE job of keeping track of things and explaining things. You have to dig through pdf after pdf to find policies, and have to fight through email after email to get something corrected if they messed up your PTO or something like that. They never actually explain things to you and treat you like an idiot if something doesn't make sense to you. -Parking is a joke. Unless you have a fleet car (buyers and upper management) you need to park at one of two garages about a 1/2 mile from the office. -Try not to get hit by someone in a fleet car if you're in the building's parking garage. They'll treat it like a race track. -Literally everything from project management to time sheets are done using Excel 2013. -Things change way too often. Growing pains are one thing, but no department is ever on the same page when it comes to processes, methods, or organization.

Pros

During my year here at Lidl I have been discriminated against, harassed, lied to etc. If you ask if I've reported it the answer is yes!! The region has tried to help but unfortunately their hands are tied. They will not promote you if you are female and minority and have experience. The companies VP and EVP levels are full of chauvinists who do not respect anyone. Lidl continues to fail at store openings and never learn from their mistakes. This place is insane. These are the pros. If you want to work for a company that doesn't have a clue, continues to break laws, and unfairly treat employees. Fill out an application at Lidl US.
