Pros

Great pay, time and a half on Sunday, double time on Bank holidays. If you're good you'll be moved up or around very quickly.

Cons

Morning staff generally start at 3,4,5 am. Expectation that you pretty much run everywhere you go and have everything finished in two seconds. Keep the till queues short so customers don't have to wait but also bombard them with conversation, various cards / leaflets and then make sure they press the happy or not buttons.

Pros

Multiple duties to undertake; lots of hours available; ability to progress if desired; long shifts available seven days a week.

Cons

Job is difficult, juggling merchandising, checkout cashiering, back of house stock, bakery and fresh food rotation is hard when utilising the least possible staff for the day.

Pros

Good wage and good ethos in and out of the working hours made some good friends working with great people

Cons

Boss usually was undermined my work and that was one of the reasons why I left my post and another was to concentrate on my education
