Pros

Great pay, and increases over time. Interacting with customers. Time and a half on Sunday's. Very easygoing with holidays or booking days off. Management helps keeps you motivated as they are very understandable. Paid for every minute. The managers of the store have real leadership qualities, there had been many occasions at the beginning I had made mistakes and was assured by the management that they would back me 100% and I would learn from my mistakes, this was the case when my till was down on a few times.

Cons

Everything needs to be done fast. Shifts mostly go on longer than what Rota says, if store closes at 10 and you're scheduled to be in till 10:30 generally you wouldn't get out till 11:30 You can be waiting long periods of time for breaks, depending how busy the store is. Paid monthly.

Pros

Lidl offers every individual the chance to grow and take on responsibility. It offers growth and learning opportunities every day. If you want a comfortable job where you don't have to think and everyday is the same then Lidl is not for you, but if you are wanting a secure, yet challenging career then Lidl offers that to all. Good pay and great people! Most employees need to think long term, rather than right here, right now! Hey, Rome wasn't built In a day!

Cons

It is sometimes required to put extra hours in, but I also believe when you are dedicated to your career that you would be doing that in any job with opportunities. Also starting a company In new country is never going to be easy- those who really focus on the task with be rewarded in the end, I'm sure!

Pros

Great pay with promise of growth and opportunities. Interesting work and fast paced environment.

Cons

Sexist, very political, long hours with little reward. They promise growth but do not always follow through.
