Yearly layoffs Labor union has too much power and abuses it Upward mobility is difficult outside of a management position

Pros

It is a very steady job with almost no risk of being laid off or fired. You could get away with working only 40 hours a week with no repercussions.

Cons

Working in a union environment is very frustrating. Even the salaried (non-union) careers feel like everything has to be too fair because it is such a big corporation. There is no separation of employees who work harder than others.
