hourly jobs are very secure, unionized, reliable and steady raises, 4/10 schedule standard. breaks can be taken whenever, supervision can be pretty hands off
Cons
getting a promotion is extremely rare and usually involves a fight using the union. Go in as a position that you want to stay at for awhile, do not listen if you are told that you move up quickly. there is always something else that is causing you to have to wait
