Pros

Great company benefits, people, locations, work life balance, vacation, career opportunities and compensation, culture and values and reasonable company to work for if you do not have high expectations.

Cons

Low increases in pay and promotions. You may not realize all of the discussions about having a work / life balance. Working proposals on the weekend and on holiday can be a bummer. Do not expect anything for it.

Pros

It's a big company. Plenty of room to move.

Cons

It's a big company. Big cold decisions are made that affect the little guys.

Pros

Best thing is the money and benefits package. You can get more money at other companies, but matching the overall benefits is tough. At times the work can be interesting, sometimes extremely so. There are some very smart people who work at this company or they couldn't build the things they build, do the things they do.

Cons

There are also a lot of C students working here - lots of those. Bureaucracy mindset freezes most middle managers into fear of making mistakes, which attitude is picked up by staff. A lot of arrogance. Poor cooperation between senior staff members (because there are no benefits to helping others succeed) but this is not limited to LM. Company and corporation consistently awash in cash but staff told repeatedly, no money for raises, training, travel, professional activities even while executives pile up the MICP. HR system appears determined to drive workforce to mediocrity by forcing managers to rate most staff members as "average" regardless of their accomplishments. Very difficult to get an "in-place" promotion, much easier to leave for another department - which sort of makes a career path difficult as well. The higher you go, the more they will work you - 60, 70, 80 hours a week for weeks on end (past a certain level they don't have to pay overtime). Much arrogance in the executive ranks. Cube farms the rule at all major sites. Obtaining necessary job-related software always difficult if not already part of Microsoft Office. Lots of boring, unproductive, poorly run meetings.
