Good Company to Work For

Pros

A lot of great and talented people to work with Government contracts provide stability They do a good job of trying to build up the team from within, and offer development programs for young engineers There's the ability to move around within the company fairly easily

Cons

Production programs, although stable, can become a little stale R&D efforts seem to be hit and miss, and it takes a long time to get them implemented onto programs Classified nature of some programs makes remote work options limited

Pros

Really cool work on really cool projects. You will work with some of the smartest people here. They’ll pay for your masters and the salaries with benefits are really good

Cons

Lockheed is unable to escape from its corporate structure. They’re in an uncanny valley of trying to attract young and bright talent but entirely unable to escape the whims of their massive VP staff. They’re the type of company to buy a coffee maker to boost morale for their employees but charge them per cup
