Pros

Flexible work schedule, no micromanagement, better than decent raises (if you are a performer), 3 weeks vacation per year, plus sick time, plus personal business time, on-site medical clinic, great work atmosphere, work culture is one of the best I've worked in, excellent personal space, on-site cafeteria, cafeteria hubs/branches through out the plant, reserved parking spot for 20 year employees/managers, pretty decent benefits (medical, dental, eye), straight pay for salary exempt over hours over 45, high paying salaries, job security/longevity,

Cons

Parking lots saturated with reserved parking for senior employees and managers and parking in one will have your vehicle towed, hours 40-45 are unpaid for salary exempt (these are free hours you give in which LM charges the government for, but supposedly this is what allows them to pay the higher than average salaries), wish the health insurance was a little better, but I hear its better than other company's health insurance. Some systems are outdated/antiquated but that's supposedly the cause of lack of funds or dying contracts.

Pros

Large company, access to lot's of resources, great benefits.

Cons

IS&GS division tends to be led by a results only division. Very low consideration for the best interest of the employees if it doesn't fit within the business need. Advancement across various business units are welcomed, but they can be career impacting if a manager learns of your interest to leave the nest.

Pros

Steady paycheck. Benifits are marginally good. Work hours were good until recently. Most people are friendly.

Cons

The pay is significantly lower than it should be. The software engineers I work with tend to have the mentality that 'the old ways work' and do not wish to learn newer, better technologies and standards to make a cutting edge product. Instead you deal with people making decisions on things they know little or nothing about and then imposing a process to make changes on those poor decisions making it extremely hard to fix problems since a majority of the reviewers for changes dont know what they are doing. I have never heard of engineers not willing to learn more about their job so they can do it properly. Most people have a twisted idea of what agile development is as well. I am working in a broken waterfall that is being called agile. In addition, as someone who has proven that they operate at a higher pay grade than they are at, LM makes it extremely difficult to get a promotion or pay raise to get it to where I am being payed appropriately for my work. They also just implemented a 9/80 work schedule that is terrible compared to the previous flex schedule after claiming 'positive responses' toward it. I have yet to meet one person who likes it.
