      Pros

      Lockheed Martin is a very diverse company with excellent benefits. Of the places that I have worked, Lockheed is the only place that I have not complained about low salary or poor compensation.

      Cons

      For advancement Lockheed places heavy emphasis on networking. In theory, this may appear to be the proper approach, but in reality it is not. This concepts lends to favoritism versus technical knowledge. As it has been said on numerous occassions "it is not what you know, but who you know".

      -great work life balance and stability -Flex Time -980 Schedule -Christmas Shutdown -3 weeks of vacation to start -great benefits -numerous affinity groups

      Cons

      -inconsistent use of telecommuting and other general flex time and work life balance benefits -Old school -highly resistent to change -poor use of performance management -60s era desks and drab surroundings
