Pros

Good salary and good people. World reputation is strong. Multiple jobs in the company if you wish to move. Training is adequate. A lot of my comments might be biased because I worked on-site at a client. Good salary and good people. World reputation is strong. Multiple jobs in the company if you wish to move. Cons

Politics are quite high when you move up. A lot of pleasant speak to your face, then different actions later on. Politics are quite high when you move up. A lot of pleasant speak to your face, then different actions later on.

Pros

I thought Lockheed would be a good place to gain work experience. The development programs interested me. I'm told Lockheed is a very stable place to work and you have job security.

Cons

Most lockheed employees are older. As a college hire very few people are my age. The percentage of female employees is much lower than that of other companies. Working in a classified environment sucks.

Large company, large bureaucracy.

Pros

It's such a large company, that it's easy to move around and find lots of interesting opportunities. Most benefit / salary / HR info is readily accessible, even if the actual benefits / salary suck.

Cons

Because it IS such a large company, it's also an incredibly large bureaucracy. Unbelievable how many poor decisions are made and made and made and made and made with no one willing to stop them. The benefits are absolutely terrible, and salaries are low for the industry. Pretty much the only way to stay ahead is to internally switch jobs every few years, or leave and then come back.
