      A decent company to work for aerospace...not so much for software

      Pros

      Great company for work/life balance. Good amount of vacation, lots of work holidays (including a week shutdown during the holidays) 9/80 schedule allowed days off every other Friday.

      Cons

      Not a "fast-paced" work environment by any means. Behind the curve technology-wise (at least from a software standpoint) Workforce seems to be shrinking.

      Cons

      Too many companies/group within the company and they compete each other for business as well. It's a CMMI 5 company, so more of a waterfall development approach. They use martix system for functional management and you may report to someone whom you never met or going to meet.

      Pros

      Work/Life balance is great - I rarely need to work more the 40 - 45 hours per week.

      Cons

      Yearly reviews are directly related to how much money your project has brought in and will bring in. If you do an awesome job on a project that is cancelled due to no fault of your own you will only get a basic contributor rating, which can be kind of frustrating. Also, your employment is directly tied to a customer contract. If there is no customer contract/project to pay for your continued employment then you will in a very short time find yourself unemployed.
