Good company

Pros

Really big company, this may allow you to transition into another role. Access to a wealth a resources (at least for the technical/engineering employees) for continuous learning. Benefits are pretty good with 401k matching up to 4%.

Cons

Raises, I have had 2 performance reviews/raises and neither was over 2%. So get a good salary upfront and hope for the best after that. From what I have seen promotions are also hard to come by. Some employees may be stuck at certain level for a long time.

Pros

Good benefits and although salary is not competitive. Little to no raises in pay.

Cons

Management relations with employees are ruthless. Much of their interaction with their employees is completely unethical and probably illegal. I understand Fort Worth is much different than Marietta or Palmdale. They do not see employees as having worth. A friend had worked at the Fort Worth division for the last 14 years and had not had a personal day or sick time in the last eight years. Several months ago he got the flu.....and he thought he was going to die. After 6 days he came back to work. A month later he received a scathing letter from his manager telling him he needed to take his job seriously. The manager had just looked at the total "unproductive" hours in his department not even acknowledging he had not had a personal day or sick day in the last eight years. The easiest job to do...the hardest to come to. He is retiring early just to get out of here. Now they are farming out the general warehouse in the next several months. They are moving some of the employees to other jobs but to fill the warehouse positions they are putting in recall employees....and not even telling them they will be getting pink slips in four months. Heartless.

An okay place to start

Pros

Took a chance on me and allowed me to get my foot in the door.

Cons

A cold compassionless bureaucratic company with no heart and soul. I was hired at too high a level because I had a master's degree but punished for it the whole time I was there even though it was not my fault. The worst part about this company is that it doesn't make any kind of investments into its employees. It pushes all the responsibility of growth and development onto the employee and if the employee doesn't seem to grow or develop to their satisfaction is pushed around or pushed out. I really hated being attacked by the constant performance reviews to justify my existence there. Maybe they would be a better company if they got over themselves. I was so happy when I found the other company and could get away from this nightmare. I will never work for this company again even if they offered millions to me unless I saw they changed.
