Pros

Good job security and fair compensation compared to competition.

Cons

Very corporate. I did not feel important to the company at large, and never came in contact with top execs. There is ~8 levels of separation from the lowest employee to the top.

Pros

Lockheed is a good company with a lot of jobs. The people I have worked with have all been professional and competent.

Cons

Upward momentum was difficult after a few years there I had to switch jobs to get my market rate.

Pros

Great work life balance. Co workers in my office worked all their lives at Lockeed, some upto 35 years. That says a lot about employee satisfaction and retention. My office dealt with federal contracts, which translates to more job security, however this changed a bit during the recession.

Cons

Lower compensation compared to industry standards. Less opportunities to grow. Felt like I was doing same work throughout my time there
