Expect you to make up all appointments due to having flex time - it's like being an hourly worker. Annual appraisals pit employee against employee. Leads scape goat their team members, but management does not investigate. Most emplyees seems unhappy at all sites I have dealt with. Only 10-20% of emplyees win most awards and get raises above inflation (and yet they wonder why nobody goes into engineering anymore!).

There are many large programs and projects which is good. However, many engineers find themselves with a very small routine non-technical assignment. If you desire technical work choose your position very carefully. Many engineers are well paid document writers or readers, database managers, data collectors, meeting coordinators and moderators. Most of which require little engineering knowledge.
