Pros

Good Medical/Dental Benefits, but used to be better. 9/80 schedule is nice.

Cons

Culture is VERY old and the corporation is top heavy with baby boomers. Perks are almost non existent compared to tech companies in silicon valley. Very old school ways of doing things that are slowly being forced to change to compete.

Good benefits and employee benefit programs. Good pay. Flexible environment and working conditions. Opportunities for advancement or lateral movement if you are willing to relocate.

Cons

Lack of diversity in upper and mid management. Smaller sites or facilities lack growth opportunities. Industry experiences frequent layoffs in current market conditions.

Pros

Easy to shine if your smart and ambitious, somewhat stable employment.

Cons

Average employee age must be near 60 Low pay and horrible raises for top performers No stock plan or bonus Filled with very moderately to unintelligent people Process driven for everything with processes being 50 years old Very outdated in every regard: corporate culture, IT, management philosophy (body in seats X hours per day is viewed as productivity) Poor performers are not let go just constantly shuffled around Operates as a true extension of the government Bureaucratic and filled with superfluous layers of management Everything is slow as can be
