Pros

- 4/10 schedule makes for great flexibility - like working at multiple companies with opportunity to try new things - facilities in many cities to live where you’d like - moving packages with employment - fair performance review process (depending on your manager, but most are good on the engineering side) - workforce is both young and old, with little experience in middle management that can make you stand out - great culture and morals from 99%, all that comes with normal bad actors that are present anywhere

Cons

- poor compensation relative to the tech industry to stay competitive with government contracts - most valuable work is done behind closed doors - outdated processes and facilities that are slowly improving as contracts are won - no free coffee / food like the trendy tech companies

Pros

- 4/10 - 8% 401k match - deadlines are almost non-existent - a couple smart people forsure - can ask for help - decent pay depending on location - easy to level up - tuition reinbursement up to 10-12.5k a year and 70k lifetime

Cons

- windowless place - too many older folks with alot of disconnect with the younger folks - lots of talkings thats not work related via politics, gossip, etc - managers are incompetent and insecure

Pros

Great benefits; off every Friday; everyone knows who Lockheed Martin is

Cons

Company is too big and negligent managers who work from home can get away with continuing to be negligent to daily operations. Probably not like this company-wide, but it was like this on the contract I worked.

Pros

Coworkers are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Good benefits, pay and PTO. Managers are willing to work with you if you have medical issues. 4/10 working weeks. Management is encouraging technology development to make processes smoother though time is limited so the gains from this are limited.

Cons

Lots of work especially during the quarterly month ends and outlook periods. Short turn around times during these periods can make it harder. Limited time off opportunities during the summer. Not impossible to get time off during the summer but week long trips are harder. Over the past few years the company has really cut back on the money we can invest in part time work such as interns and employee networking opportunities within the company. It can be frustrating as it feels like they don't care a much about employees and with more support we could spend more time developing our processes so they can be more efficient in the future.

Pay is great, coworkers are awesome.

Cons

Lots of micromanaging, top level managers are so disconnected from the people doing the work every day.

Pros

Had pretty good managers while being employed there. Flexible work schedule and great work-life balance.

Cons

Hard to pivot to a different job if you have an interest in it. Several encounters with team members across multiple programs that did not create a welcoming or comfortable environment to grow in. Pay could be more competitive.

Pros

-Functional manager helped as much as was possible. -Immediate team was able to lean on each other.

Cons

-Massive scope creep due to program management having no spine and accepting every ask while pressuring for constant overtime. -Constantly changing program expectations/requirements. -Toxic culture bragging about 60 hour weeks while error rates shot through the roof. -Ridiculous amounts of meetings with 20+ people and nothing getting solved/resolved. -No respect for work/life balance.
