Fun and interesting but teetering on unstable

- Interesting products - Fun engineering challenges - Smart, thoughtful, driven coworkers - Decent benefits - Great place to learn lots and grow

Cons

- previously (before being acquired by ITW), no long term planning, only business planning on a quarter to quarter basis leading to frequent layoffs, hectic random restructuring and pivoting priorities from quarter to quarter. Now as an ITW company, upper management might be thinking longer term - Lack of reinvestment into products and R&D - Lots of attrition from all departments (hard to keep up with who is still with the company and who has left as it changes daily...) - Work life balance is so-so

I enjoyed the people I worked with.

Cons

CEO had no idea what he was doing. Focus was ONLY on shareholder value, zero value on employee happiness. The guy didn’t even understand why a good website was necessary as a company that SOLD PRODUCTS.
