Pros

The benefits and friendly coworkers.

Cons

The new CEO is removing the work-life balance the employees worked so hard to acquire. He wants all employees to be 4 days in the office (for now, because 5 days are his target). Some jobs require being present in the office, but others could be fully remote. Although all feedback implores keeping a hybrid schedule, the instructions are clear and clearly state that the new leadership likes to micromanage and ignore the individual contributors: no promotions, no increases in pay, and no life-work balance. Mary Kay used to be a fantastic place to work but now it feels dry and hard to keep up with the micromanaging the new head of the company is bringing to the table.

Pros

Great benefits Employees are professional and kind Good opportunities for development Compensation

Cons

There were none until the new CEO Ryan Rogers showed up and immediately made employees increase to four office days instead of three. He wants us to come in 5 days and probably will tell us to in a few months, despite multiple employee and management surveys proving that we would like a hybrid schedule of three or fewer in-office days, and despite many members of executive leadership and HR urging him to allow a hybrid schedule. But he seems bent on running the place like a dictator. Mary Kay has historically been one of the best places in the area to work but that is quickly changing, and the culture and values that the Company boasts about (family first/ making people feel important / an opportunity that fits your life) is becoming only a reality for the sales force and not employees.
