The company has a great mission and great, friendly employees. Work is usually interesting and fulfilling. Good work life balance.

Cons

Compensation is less than average. Right now, solely Market-driven company as opposed to product driven. Management can expect unrealistic timelines to complete projects which have to be adjusted.

Pros

If you're looking to enjoy seeing your coworkers every day, this is the pace to be. A very grass roots environment - there are great personal and professional development opportunities (talks, employee resource groups, etc), often sponsored by your coworkers, and people take bike rides and go on walks together before, during, and after work. Most of management cares about your development and will work to provide Medtronic sponsored opportunities (trainings, conferences, etc). It's up to you to take the initiative though.

Cons

Resourcing, resourcing, resourcing. You have one person doing the work of two sometimes three people. It can be addicting but people burn out. And parking is an issue.
