My coworkers were cool and that's about it.
Pros
The majority of coworkers are nice and great to work with. There are a handful of managers across the entire company that actually care about you.
Cons
From my experience, almost all middle managers are middle-aged white people who are either mildly to moderately racist or mildly to moderately sexist. Your organization's leadership will do the bare minimum to help you. They heavily play favorites and consistently offer all of the interesting opportunities to the attractive white women in the team. They will prioritize funding employees to go to SWE conferences but conveniently run out of money for employees to go to NSBE, SHPE, and SASE conferences every year. I brought up how other employees made racial jokes at my expense and how another manager made sexist comments at my director to my boss. In response to that, my boss said that's just how society is and brushed it off. All the while touting how Medtronic is so great at DEI and is so inclusive every other day. My manager also made racist comments to my face about twice a month during our 1:1's. Everyone is forced to spend time every quarter to fill out Organizational Health Surveys only for the feedback to be completely ignored. The managers will beg everyone to artificially inflate the OHS results because they don't want the VPs to force them to take action. Honesty is looked down on and criticism on leadership's actions only get you laid off. The company consistently makes bad acquisitions of startups with products that aren't manufacturable thus not profitable. Every year is cost center reductions and benefits are getting worse and worse over time. This place is a sinking ship. All of my coworkers are actively looking for opportunities elsewhere while ensuring they get their work done. I would not recommend working at this company.
