Diversified company, deep technical competance, clear functional career ladders, products make a genuine difference to customers. Benefits are excellent and comprehensive, salaries are competitive. Geneerous resources avaialble for approved products, and project reviews include technical, scientific, and external peer review. Facilities are modern and there is a good spirit among co-workers.

Cons

Not as innovative, global, or employee centered as it claims, difficult to move laterally through the company, headquarters is political and parochial, risk-averse. Change to defined contribution pension scheme, flat stock price has left long-standing options nearly worthless. Strategic planning is done by committee and is concentrated in finance and marketing functions with little technical input. Reliance on Ivy League-MBA totations to develop future leadership.
