Pros

Cisco looks great on your resume. Free lunch. Free Snacks. Nice office.

Cons

Sales management is primarily men and the culture reflects that. Offensive language on the sales floor can be heard on a daily basis, with little to no consequence. Thankfully there are a few managers who are making an effort to change this. There are know examples of leaders with a history of abusive language on the sales floor, multiple infractions with HR, romantic interactions with subordinates, open tasteless comments in front of the global sales team yet there are never repercussions. Many women on the sales floor have been impacted by this and only share their feelings in secrecy.

Pros

Really good culture where if you work hard you can expect to be rewarded. There are a ton of social events that happen meaning everyone mixes with one another in our EMEAR office in london. Catered lunches, free snack stations and an awesome games room - there are no real 'rules' that need to be adhered to. You are responsible for your target and getting there, if you need support it is readily available. The technology itself is disruptive and changing the marketplace - this fast paced office can really get you excited - in all honesty if I am not laughing within ten minutes of arriving at work I am surprised.

Cons

The work can be tiring as you reach the end of quarters and can sometimes take over - switching off is encouraged but can be hard to achieve in reality. My main gripe is that when we are working out of hours on company stuff (customer meetings/partner events) that the start time of 8am is still enforced. Ideally I would like to a some flexibility around this however it is a minor issue.
