OK pay & resume value, but culture and management make it a stressful place
Pros
Pros: Compensation and benefits are competitive - before the cliff hits. Good flexibility with remote options for many roles (depending on your team).
Cons
Chaotic and politically driven environment There’s a lot of tension between teams, unclear decision-making, and constant shifts in priorities. It often feels like people are competing with each other more than collaborating. Inconsistent and opaque performance reviews The performance cycle feels arbitrary at times and are actually linked to performance quotas where you might do well but the manager needs to fill the lower performers bucket so that the company can churn out employees as per a predefined number. Management quality varies wildly Some managers are great, but too many lack real leadership skills. I’ve seen inexperienced managers focus on optics over substance, and sometimes promotions seem tied to politics rather than performance. Work-life balance is poor on many teams Long hours are common, and workloads spike with frequent reorganizations. The “move fast” culture can easily tip into burnout if you aren’t careful. Job security concerns Recent awful performance based culture makes it hard to feel secure when processes and expectations are shifting every quarter.
