Pros
1) Lots of flexibility to work on whatever projects I want 2) Great work / life balance. 3) Great pay and perks, ex. Wellness reimbursement, Maternity 4) Opportunities to travel for work (but you’re never forced to take them if you don’t want to go) 5) Bonus structures = incentives for folks to go above and beyond
Cons
1) Too much leadership hired from outside = leadership doesn’t understand what we do enough to manage us, improve processes, or even give coaching/ feedback. The company sometimes seems like it’s run by the motivated individual contributors finding issues and fixes them, rather than directed with an overarching plan. 2) Not enough of a feedback culture compared to other places I’ve worked - some of my teammates can do with clear expectations 3) There’s a weird competitiveness in “who gets credit” for an accomplishment. 4) Stock price
