Pros

Autonomy in proposing or selecting projects. Bottom-up culture. Collaboration and communication across teams is encouraged.

Cons

Stressful semi-annual performance evaluation that is gamified and politicized. A lot of BS in employees presenting tools or projects that don't really work or not really useful. You get credit for how you present work rather than the impact of your work. Engineering quality, robustness and sustainability are not encouraged: engineers implement a feature or tool in one half to get credit then dump it in the following half. Regular layoffs recently created a toxic atmosphere.
