Pros
Mutual respect; egalitarianism; meritocracy; flexibility. This place makes employees feel welcome and relevant, regardless of their age and gender. What matters is how good you are at doing your job. Everything else is irrelevant. I had some reservations about the the open floor plan, but it actually works to energize the people. You can hear the brains buzzing :-)
Cons
The open floor plan has a downside: if someone comes in sick with a cold or flu, its too easy to pass it on to others. It is addressed very thoughtfully though, so it's not such a big deal.
