      Probably the worst out there

      Pros

      - Compensation (although get your hands on one of the hot AI startups and you can end up making more) - Smart folks around (not the new hire and fire cadre which by definition are not that smart TBH)

      Cons

      - Toxic environment to collaborate now - Will take your mental health away - Will drain you of your family time and memories (put a price on that e.g. spend time with your child growing up) - The grind will take real physical toll - Be part of an evil cadre - e.g. work with ruthless management for whom mother dying; pregnant co-worker mean nothing more than protecting their own golden handcuff status

      Salary, health insurance, 401 k and other benefits are what I would consider pros.

      Cons

      Toxic managers and unhealthy competitions across coworkers that eventually led me to the layoff.

      Great Pay, Smart People, Horrible Company Culture

      Pros

      Pay and benefits are excellent. The company is full of very smart people.

      Cons

      Even as a non-senior engineer, politics are impossible to avoid, and you may not even realize you're wrapped up in them because they happen so far above you. You will have to constantly chase "impact" which may be difficult to quantify depending on your team and function. Lower level team culture is good, but the company "values" are a farce and non-existent. Do not speak up against changes within the company. You will be retaliated against and Meta will mask retaliation as layoffs or performance based attrition.
