Pros

Facebook prioritises building positive social impact. They do this over growing revenue and this creates a hugely incredible mission-driven company. You are empowered to align personal and team goals to invent the products and outcomes to build social good. Every person that you work with at Facebook has this mindset, creating an incredibly supportive and collaborative environment where everyone is an ally.

Cons

Facebook isn't for everyone. The hardest thing that many people struggle with is the amount of ownership and accountability you are given. Because Facebook is so bottoms-up, it requires people to be able to be highly collaborative to gather information to make the right decision. No one is going to tell you what to work on, you have to decide yourself what will be most impactful. That's a hard environment to be successful in for many.

Pros

Lots of autonomy because managers don't care about you or your work.

Cons

Literally the worst culture and environment I've ever worked in. Bullying behavior, aggressive partners, complete lack of support, hugely overworked teams due to lean structure.
