Pros

- great comp and benefits - lovely teammates (shockingly) - nice facilities, good food - interesting work

Cons

- Meta feels downright evil - senior leadership (especially Zuck) have zero moral code, no real values to stand on, other than making money at any cost - privacy & consumer considerations are severely lacking - social media impacts on consumers' wellbeing awful (particularly re: children) - AI slop rules our internal comms & external services - connections to T*ump and mass surveillance work feel particularly dystopian

Pros

Meta makes decisions quickly and decisively

Cons

- Not concerned about fairness, ethics, morality, or even the law. Meta does whatever it thinks it can get away with to generate more money. - No way to fix management as Mark Zuckerberg is the root cause and controls the majority of the voting power. The whole culture reflects Mark's values. Meta actively looks for those who have different perspectives and pushes them out the door. - The surviving employees are very sycophantic and afraid to speak truth to power or question orthodoxy. - There is a surprising amount of bureaucracy
