My mental health was in pieces in 2 years
Pros
Excellent opportunities to learn the latest innovation practices
Cons
Unfortunately I was harassed by the people who were supposed to be my primary partners, who had been in the team for years and were providing anonymous false feedback about me to my manager while pretending to be my allies. I protected them and didn't complain about them not meeting expectations, and my manager didn't look into the situation, he just believed them. When my manager changed, the new manager looked into it and realised that they were actively trying to discredit me, so he moved me to another team where my performance was great, but it was already too late because the poor rating I got because of the first manager's approach affected my options. To top it up, Meta did nothing about it and their response to the internal investigation was that no policies were breached. The bottom line is that Meta is an awful company to work for at the moment, people are only tools to deliver $ and nothing else matters. Plus, the playing field is a political jungle where anything goes as long as you can demonstrate $. Some of the things I've witnessed: stealing projects/impact, discrediting coworkers behind their back, eliminating employees because they ask uncomfortable questions especially if they could reflect bad on a leader etc.
