      Pay only worth it if you are down with constant performance review grind cycle

      Pros

      Preposterously high pay, pretty good perks, fairly flexible RTO policy at time of employment

      Cons

      Entire company worships at the altar of metrics, to the point where any and all work has to be metrics-driven, even if the work itself is obviously pointless or degrades value of the product itself. Engineering upkeep is wildly deprioritized as a result, and everyone is so constantly mortified of 6-month review cycle that anything that doesn't look good on them is completely tossed aside. Work life balance is dreadful, since someone is inevitably pulling all nighters to look good on their reviews, so if you aren't, you look bad by comparison. Company is also, obviously, super evil.

      Great compensation, probably one of the smartest group of engineers you could work with, offices are great, perks are outstanding

      Cons

      Currently the company has been going to some really bad management I'd say. The company decides to work on some trending idea without taking consideration the impact it may cause in the future, and now we see lots of layoff happening. Ofc this is a company so they don't give a damn about employees, as much as they say they do, but treating people just like a number, laying off thousands for no reason when the company is still doing great is mean and disrespectful. It was once a great place to work, but nowadays is just fear of layoffs, PSC reviews; with shallow features just to bloat their self assignment.

      Good compensation, surplus of world class engineers to learn from. If on the right team, mentorship and career growth is best in class.

      Cons

      Pressure to work into evenings and occasionally on weekends. Performance cycle sometimes incentivizes short term progress over long term vision.
