Pros

Seriously don't know what to write here

Cons

Really strange/bad atmosphere, extreme competition amongst employees in the same team (not the good kind, the kind where you'd rather not come to work in the morning; seems like a deliberate management methodology), people generally superficial, self-centered and arrogant, I think they deliberately hire malignant narcissists into directorate and higher management positions to keep up that toxic culture (seems to be working in one way or another). Been here for a few weeks only and already looking for something else. No way to stay here.

Pros

-Some highly talented people within the org -Nice new building -Good selection of canteen food -Lots of different cultures -Fantastic cloud technology and full stack that doesn't really have any competitor (aside from AWS) Sadly these are the main benifits of working here

Cons

The previous negative reviews on Glassdoor about the Inside Sales Org are 100% accurate. -The management team is a complete joke. No prior experience leading people. No understanding of the technology. Some don't have actual sales experience. There is a buddy buddy culture amongst the management team. They lie to their teams constantly. - There is so much nepotisim hiring within the org its hard to believe it happens as much as it does. - Zero chance of promotion unless you are sucking up to the managers - Dont bank on your bonus even when you have made them millions of dollars (a lot of people were flatly not given a bonus even after smashing target). - So many inexperienced people are hired there for "diversity". It kills the whole idea of diversity in itself and also upsets a lot of people working there. For example I have met new hires who don't even know what a server is.....? -Training does not exist -Moral is at an all time low. -Management team constantly expecting people to "champ" certain projects (in otherwords do their jobs for them for free) There are better companies to work for in Dublin where you will be treated with respect and you can hold on to your dignity

Pros

Microsoft Services Global Delivery (MSGD) shares the name Microsoft band. It is part of Microsoft organization, but there are extreme difference with Microsoft product group in terms of technology, work environment, pay and benefit, stocks, career growth etc. Inside MSGD many practice/ group operate individually. Work and technology wise some of the groups like Modern practice, Dynamics are good. You learn all latest technology, work in cutting edge technology etc.

Cons

Inside MSGD productivity (SharePoint, exchange etc) domain is the worst group. NO work, only SharePoint and exchange migration projects are running for last 2 years. No development work, no exciting opportunity. Very bad politics are running, no growth, no new learning, no benefits etc. . MSGD is the lowest paying entity inside Microsoft. 7-10 years’ experience employee get same salary as freshers in Microsoft development center. . No stock bonus, as provided in other MS entity. . Yearly hikes are on average 4-6% far last 3 years. . Bonus payouts are also reduced over the last few years. . Promotion rate is very slow compare to other MS entity. On average, it takes 30 to 36 months/ even more than that in higher level. I know many people waiting for last 4 years in senior level to be promoted. . Join lower band compare to other MS entity. In MSGD starting level is 56, on the other hand most of the other MS entity starts from level 59/ 60. Level 60 in MSGD means very senior position with 15+ years of experience. This level difference very badly affect if you try to internally movie to any other MS entity. Most of the cases you need to join as almost freshers in other MS entities though you have 7-10 years’ experience and you are technically very sound. . Attrition rate is very high. Yearly 20-25% people leaving for last 3 years due to above reason/ politics, no opportunity etc. Onsite opportunity also reduced over the years. Some of the practice like ‘Productivity’ domain you should not expect any onsite opportunity in next 2-3 years. . Some of the managers are there for years, do nothing, play politics and survived here due to very less challenging work. They will make your life hell. Most of the time they will ask to do some other activity apart from your work that will not going to bring any values to you nor the company. Only managers will showcase that to their managers for their survival.
