Pros

Great health benefit. 401K, stock award, employee stock purchase plan, generous sick leave, seattle is a beautiful city to live.

Cons

you probably hear that Microsoft is full of smart people. That is probably the case 10 years ago or if you are in the right group. I personally work with some of the worse testers / developers. They are just plain stupid. They do not know how to design stuff. They make the wrong decision all the time. System become super complicated. I am very dissatisfied with my work and the people that I work with.

Pros

Great benefits and great perks. Good competitive salary, lots of incentives to be an employee in terms of extras. This is more valid for people in Redmond.

Cons

Microsoft is a highly political place to work in terms of how you get ahead. It's more who you know and how you grease the wheels vs what you know and how hard you work.

Pros

Salary and Brand name are a plus. Some teams do good work. Flexi time is an advantage. Great campus and facilities.

Cons

Open door policy is a farce. If you dare to compalin, you will be out within a couple of months. Manager feedback is not appreciated. People are considered as resources, not humans.
