Pros

The health insurance benefits were by far the biggest plus.

Cons

In terms of tech, MSFT's pay was often lower than other companies due to "its great culture". Things like work life balance, job security, and insurance were big selling a points. However, culture is not real world currency and culture quickly shifts depending on your org or the company priorities. The main selling points for receiving lower pay seemed to fade away over the years. Great mangers are crucial but certain orgs have more bad mangers and leadership than good ones. It makes the chances of getting a good manger, a good team, and good leadership very rare. but it's great for those who can get the trifecta.
