      Great team, amazing product, but overall culture is still been defined

      Pros

      The team here is impressive, they only hire the best engineers so that you can learn a lot. We're also working on a very big scale so everything you deploy will be used by a lot of people. The pay is above average and they run performance reviews with a structured approach twice a year, so there's a way to increase the pay every year, and there's also so much space for growth.

      Cons

      The overall culture is still been defined, in the sense that it's not uniform around the place, working on engineering you'll see that different streams (how the verticals, or divisions, are called here) have a very different culture. Another point that I consider a bit weird considering the product and the way the company position itself is the enfasis on face to face interactions.

      Pros

      Extremely collegial and helpful team environment where your work has impact and your value is appreciated. Great product backed by a very collaborative culture with no shortage of opportunities to learn and grow. Colleagues are kind and quick to assist as a new hire ramps up and develops in their role.

      Cons

      Hyper growth always exposes certain gaps necessitating issue resolution and process improvements as well as need for better alignment on dependencies across departments. Leadership and teams across the org are keen to address and work together to find longterm solutions (and not just quick-fix bandaids).

      Good company, bad management

      Pros

      Good product. Nice office. Pretty competitive salaries.

      Cons

      Current marketing and brand design team leadership was ruining all the management processes for more than a year and making one bad decision after another. Lack of trust, lack of respect, ageism, homophobia, we've seen it all. And instead of changing for the good and maybe doing some leadership changes, they just failed completely and ended up laying off most of the top design and management talents and offshoring the work to cheaper countries. Then the leadership was trying to make this dirty and sneaky move look good, but, well, people don't buy it. In general, the way the company conducted these sneaky and absolutely unnecessary layoffs hurt the company-employee relationship severely.
