Pros

My first job out of college was an ADR at MuleSoft. The company had an incredible training program, 1 full month in HQ to learn the ropes. Some really talented people, especially in sales and service.

Cons

Competition, while healthy to an extent, was pushed too far here. "Radical Candor" became overused to the point of excuse borderline abusive behavior of reps by managers and team leads. People were consistently talked down to, and the strictness of rules (i.e. being even 1 minute late to a meeting meant being verbally lambasted in front of your peers) did not make for a very productive and empathetic working environment. Promotion track consistently looked like moving the goalposts, you'd be promised something next quarter and without warning or explanation, it'd be pushed out. Even one month of less-than-stellar quota achievement could push promotion tracks back an entire quarter or more. Some of this is probably better now that MuleSoft is part of Salesforce. Diversity at MuleSoft especially was absolutely atrocious: you could count the women of color on one hand, very few leaders with diverse backgrounds.

Pros

Lots of chance to learn new things, stuff is thrown at you constantly so you become great at time management, high turnover so you have the option to transition to the open roles and move around

Cons

Burnout job due to understaffing of key support functions (you have to do everything yourself), lots of entitled millennials/tech workers, not enough age or ideological diversity, colleagues are not well trained and lack professional etiquette

Poor Leadership and Toxic Environment

Pros

Practice Leads, Delivery Managers and Regional Manager were friendly and supportive. Saleforce benefit of 1 day off a month (on an allocated day). It was nice to do personal appointments that day. Manager is a sound SME with systems.

Cons

Manager was micromanaging certain members of the team, favoritism in the team, bullying to the point people resigned globally. Gas lighting by manager. Expectation with tasks were unrealistic and she was not consistent with duties and deliverables. Manager not a leader but 'friends' with leadership. Mulesoft culture is not the same as Saleforce culture and they are resistant in evolving the culture. Salesforce provide many benefits, 1 day off anytime the month but at Mulesoft it's a certain day off. We do not chose. Saleforce have told us to reimburse our lunches for certain meetings, but Mulesoft manager said we are not allowed.
