I have been with NTT Data for a while now. I've worked at four Fortune 100 companies, this is by far the worst company I have ever worked at throughout my 15 year career.
NTT Data abuses the H1B system under the guise of "BPO" in order to take work away from Americans in favor of cheap (and very, very questionable) labor in mostly India. I am one of a handful of American workers (I would go as far as saying I was a "DEI hire", 1x American for every 10x Indian workers) on my team.
Management consists of 90% Indians that have either been moved to the US or are still based in India. The way these managers treat people under them are FRIGHTENING. I would go as far as calling it a sweat shop with slave labor.
Indian workers are paid next to nothing, expected to work absurdly long hours, and even some weekends.
I've heard these managers yell and scream and insult and bully and belittle the work force and threatening them if work doesn't get done in time to meet deadlines.
In the meantime, the higher ups keep making new business deals with false promises to new large clients while the low level employees are forced to figure out how to meet the insane deadlines with unreal expectations.
NTT Data hides behind their constant trainings in "ethical and healthy work environments" that they absolutely do not adhere to. They offer "help lines" etc to report unethical practices to but there is no way to report anonymously so you risk losing your job for speaking out.
As a result the work environment is completely toxic. Employees lash out at each other due to stress. The cultural differences is immense too. Indian managers treat all staff like they are slave labor in India where labor laws don't protect employees. They have no etiquette and no manners.
I believe if a few of us gather information and evidence and blow the whistle on this company it would be the end of it.
No company, no matter how big or small should be allowed to treat it's work force the way I've seen employees get treated at NTT Data.
I hope they get investigated and exposed to the world for what they are. An unethical slave labor sweat shop.
