This is in reference to the former Perot former Dell Services portion of the business. I came in after NTT purchased Dell Services, and I am willing to bet that NTT very much regrets the purchase. This was by far, the worst employer I've ever worked for and I am so so glad that was able to escape in a failry short amount of time. I did not work on a cutomer-facing account, instead I worked for some of the infrastructure teams. The larger group that I was in had 2 main shot callers with director level titles, and they are both dinosaurs. They obviously hadn't gotten out much and experienced how tech companies are successfull in this day and age. They attempt to manage with with fear, intimidation, and somehow find a way to mix in passive aggresive tendencies. If you work there, you would not be able to have a straight forward relationship with most of the managers because they've all worked together for eons and do whatever it takes to protect their inner circle. You are better off telling them what they want to hear and nod your head in agreement as if they are god's gift to tech. If you don't kiss the ring, there will be hell to pay. Most of the worker-bee's there are rejects and short timers. These are people that don't have the skill or drive to maximize their potentia, but because as they are viewed loyal to the managers they are kept around and stew in their own misery - unpaid and overwhlemed with tedious tasks . You will rarely find a polished professional there because, like myself, no one can stand it. The company cannot make money and is routinely and quietly cutting staff and benefits like bonuses and severance packages. If bankruptcy is a black whole, then these people have crossed the event horizon and cannot return. This is based on a poor business model with poor marketing, no propietary technologies, and an older unaccomplished, unambitious leadership team that don't have the ability to come up with simple, attainable solutions. The aquisition of Dell Services has been awful. So awful, that you can't even send an instant message to people. You can't hear people clearly during phone calls. You can't check your email. You can't get access to an app. Not only is the culture toxic and Mad Max-like, you don't even get basic, stable IT service there. From the outside looking in, it was very clear to me that all of this instability and failure has put immense pressure on management there and it shows.
Stay away, this is where the dinosaurs roam.
