      Work hard, Play Hard

      Pros

      At Arkadin, the Sales Culture is fun and energetic. The successful reps are here to work hard and are recognized for their achievements. The company is very sales driven and changes are made to ensure the success of sales. Arkadin is always adding new solutions to keep up with the industry and the customers' needs. I have been given the opportunity to travel the globe and experience other cultures as a thank you for my hard work and dedication. Over the past 3 years I have been promoted into new roles which continues to motivate me to work harder for the organization. Departments work together for the benefit of the customer. I plan to continue my career path with Arkadin, every day is a different day that allows me to challenge myself and learn new skills. Sales is not for an individual that isn't ready to come to work every day and put in a full day of prospecting and holding customers meetings. When faced with challenges upper management has always supplied suggestions and assistance to help me overcome.

      Cons

      Nothing Major - The grass isn't greener anywhere you go. Every company has its own set of challenges. The biggest challenge would be internal processes. But this has been greatly improved upon in the last year and will continue to be.

      Pros

      Global company with a strong sense of giving back to the community. Good benefits and flexible schedules. They have the potential to become a relevant company if they can think differently about technology.

      Cons

      Toxic work environment especially for females. The office politics create a dysfunctional culture. "Insiders" are rewarded while new employees are left to wither on the vine. Company meetings consist of canned speeches, while the real deal-making goes on behind closed doors or offsite. Customers reluctantly do business with "DiData" because they are not allowed to purchase direct from vendors. DiData adds a markup to a product and then refers the sale to a distributor. They are a Non-value added re-seller. Top management has an "Ivory Tower" mentality. They are very very smart but removed from the field.

      Got out of there as fast as I could

      Pros

      I used to work for YUM and worked there for 5 years. Then NTT took over and it got really bad. Almost everyone I knew left. I left within the year. I really can't think of any pros.

      Cons

      - They use offshore a lot and their offshore staff is not as talented so you are left to do all the work - no significant raises unless you get a job somewhere else and then they usually counter. - No communication between higher management and regular employees. We found out about important news through gossip rather than from management. - No flexibility. - You are basically a consultant for other companies and if you don't get placed anywhere, you get laid off or placed somewhere where you don't want to work. No say in what you want to do unless you want to get fired. - They keep acquiring companies and their portal system is a mess and everyone is feeling lost.
